Disha Shetty is an independent science journalist with nearly a decade of work experience across Television, digital & print formats in reporting and editing roles. She writes mainly on public health, climate change and the intersection between the two.
Disha holds a masters in Science, Environment and Medicine Journalism from Columbia University in New York, a PG Diploma in TV journalism from Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) in Chennai, and a Bachelors in Mass Media (BMM) from SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce affiliated to the Mumbai University.
She is the winner of 2018 Global Health Reporting Contest Award, and has been a 2019 RAF fellow to the UN. Disha has also received reporting grants from Pulitzer Center, IWMF and EJN, among others.
Her work has appeared in Vice, IndiaSpend, The Wire, Business Standard and Scroll, among others. She has held full-time positions at Times Group, Zee Digital, DNA & most recently was the Associate Editor at IndiaSpend. She's currently a Forbes Science contributor.
